The Bahai Temple is located in the Peñalolén commune, in Santiago. The temple is a meeting point that promotes unity through free participation in acts of prayer and service.

It was inaugurated in October 2016, and joins the other 8 temples of the Baháí Faith that exist around the world located in Samoa, Panama, Uganda, Germany, India, Australia and the United States.
Located in the foothills of the Andes, in Santiago de Chile, the Baháí House of Worship of South America opens its doors as of October 19, 2016, welcoming all the people of the city and its surroundings, the rest of the continent or of any point of the world that wish to know it, to go through its gardens or to participate in the activities that take place there.

Construction and structure:
The architect in charge was Siamak Hariri, and the design of the gardens was in charge of the Chilean landscaper Juan Grimm. The building is 30 meters high and 30 meters in diameter, and has a capacity for 600 people.
The construction of the temple is divided into four main stages. The first is a three-level reinforced concrete structure, which contains parking lots and services as well as being the structural base of the building, with an anti-seismic triple-pendulum friction insulation system. This stage began in 2010 with excavations and soil work, and was completed in April 2013 with the concreting of the earthenware, which required 90 m3 of concrete and nine hours of continuous work.
On the solid base of reinforced concrete, a 30 meter high superstructure was built for the petals. For this, 18 curved steel columns 32.4 cm in diameter and 20 mm thick were used as the primary structure. The columns were anchored to the concrete base and the central oculus - which was previously raised by a scaffold support tower through bolted joints. The secondary structure of the petals, which supports the interior and exterior cladding of the temple, is made of a double layer steel stereometric grid.

Location and environment:
Located in the Andean foothills of the Andes, in the Peñalolen district of Santiago de Chile, it offers a unique view of the capital of Chile.
Its environment is very well designed based on native flora.
