Plaza Victoria, also called Plaza de La Victoria, is located in the El Almendral sector of the city plan of Valparaíso. It takes its name in honor of the Chilean triumph in the War against the Peru-Bolivian Confederation. From the second half of the 19th century, it became important as a social center of the city.
