Located in the Town of Tenaún, Dalcahue Commune was declared a National Monument, in the category of Historical Monument, 10 August 1999 with the enactment of Exempt Decree No. 222.

Built around 1845, with its three towers, the largest 25 meters high, is an exception within the church Chilota School.

Perhaps here lies the significance of Tenaún "three mountains" Huilliche language.
