The history of the State of Minas Gerais has been connected to mining since its birth. In its capital, Belo Horizonte, inaugurated the Museum of Mines & Metal, which covers the history of these natural elements and their relationship with man.

The Mines and Metal Museum building is part of the civic center of the state administration of the founding of a new capital. It was registered by the state in 1977, as part of the Architectural and Landscaping Ensemble of Liberty Square, and by the alcove of Belo Horizonte in 1994.

The ?pink building?, as it is popularly known, has a beautiful zagu?n that can be accessed from the level of the plaza through a granite ladder.
