In 1995 its founder and director, Mr. Rodolfo Corsolini, began to shape what began with a dream of being able to develop research in the area and invite local people and tourists to know the results. What began as an exhibition of some species today is a center where several young people interested in being able to unravel the history of the beings who lived in the area millions of years ago, when the Andes Mountain Range did not exist and the marine ingression, supposedly from the Pacific Ocean, it was the habitat of crustacean fossils that have been found. They carry out field trips, collection of material, developing statures, soil studies, flora and fauna, and inside doors are dedicated to cleaning, restoration and classification of the pieces obtained. Juli?n Corsolini, son of Rodolfo, is the deputy director and is accompanied by Rafael Isgut, Jos? Mart?n Guizburg, Mart?n Moreno, Luciano Berasain, Mart?n Vivas, all of them between 15 and 25 years old, while Santiago Azar collaborates with reproductions of vertebrates and the Architect Jos? Berazain on trips.

Among its achievements are the discovery in 1998 of the largest giant Ammonite in America and the second in the world, being this marine mollusc of the family of the Cephalopods, ancestor of the squid, with an age of about 170,000,000 years. You can also see a mandible of a Nesodon of the family of Toxodontes, which was cataloged of great scientific value, in the city of La Plata.
