Tres Rios, Bolivia The Illimani, with 6,462 meters above sea level, is a mountain in Bolivia, located near the city of La Paz. It is the highest height of the Cordillera Real and the second of Bolivia.
The volcano or snowy Illimani is an extinct stratovolcano, whose last eruption was recorded in 1869. The perpetual snow limit is 4 570 m above sea level and on the north face glaciers are located at 4 983 m.
