The Auckland War Memorial Museum shows the historical and cultural heritage of New Zealand.

In its beginnings, in the middle of the 19th century, the museum was established in a two-room country house, one of which was destined to the museum's curator's quarters. Since then, the museum has been relocated several times until, at the beginning of the 20th century, the current building was built, which houses the Auckland Museum and a memorial to fallen soldiers in World War I and is nestled in the middle of Auckland Domain, the largest park in the city.
The building is divided into three floors: the ground floor is dedicated to the Maori culture and the peoples of the Pacific Ocean, the first floor contains exhibits on the natural history of the country while the third one focuses on the history of the wars in which New Zealand has been involved.
