Guide of Montego Bay, JAMAICA

Information about Montego Bay

Montego Bay, on the northwest coast of Jamaica, is defined as the quintessential resort, where white-sand beaches are lined with floral plants, and hills dotted with palm trees form a backdrop for long stretches of undulating meadows. Called by Columbus "the gulf of good weather", it became the main exporting port of butter, which earned the place the name of Manteca Bay. Later, sugar and bananas became the main exports of this port.
