erusalem is the capital of Israel and its largest and most populous city, with almost 900,000 inhabitants in an area of 125.1 square kilometers.
  The oldest settlements in Jerusalem are from the 5th millennium BC. C. and is one of the oldest cities in the world.

Jerusalem has a deep religious significance for Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Geographically, it is situated in the mountains of Judea, between the Mediterranean Sea and the north shore of the Dead Sea, and has extended well beyond the limits of the Old City.
