Mount of Olives. - Israel

The Mount of Olives is located in the Kidron Valley, east of Jerusalem. According to the Bible, it was the place where Jesus frequently performed his prayers, and was even there the day he was arrested.

It is considered one of the most sacred places in the Holy Land. The churches of Gethsemane, Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit are located there. It takes its name from the olive trees that populate its slopes. On its skirt are the Gardens of Gethsemane, where Jesus stayed in Jerusalem.
