Information about Belfast
Belfast is the capital and largest city of Northern Ireland.
The city is flanked to the northwest by a series of hills, including Cavehill Hill, which is believed to have inspired Jonathan Swift s novel, Gullivers Travels.
The city center, the commercial and institutional heart of Belfast, can be considered a neutral area. In this area are concentrated some of the main buildings of interest in the city, such as the huge and striking building of the City Hall of Belfast or the Cathedral of Santa Ana.
