www.pinguinorey.com The colony of king penguins in this park is the only one in South America and the number of specimens varies according to the time of year and the reproductive status of the species.
The extensive Fuegian coast received a small group of penguins in 2010, its unique beauty told us about the presence of the king penguin (Aptenodytes patagonicus) in useless bay. These distinguished visitors caused great astonishment and curiosity to be known, causing harassment of the 90 copies that sought to settle in the place.
Thus, as a Magellan family and owner of the place, he decided to protect the 8 king penguins that followed in the place, proposing preservation measures, observation behaviors and raising public awareness about this species and its relationship with Tierra del Fuego. Over the course of the days, biologists, archaeologists, veterinarians and people linked to sustainable tourism were integrated into this initiative, which made it possible to develop a ?Management Plan? that establishes the guidelines that allow the settlement of the king penguin.
