The Metropolitan Cathedral of Maceió is the main Catholic temple in the Alagoan capital. Known as Parish of Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres

Built in early 1859, it has an eclectic style and has bell towers on both sides of its main facade. Its interior shows a very interesting decoration, highlighting its main altar and its two altars in honor of São Sebastião and São Miguel. It is also worth visiting its Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament.
