Everglades National Park, is a World Heritage Site and is located in the extreme southwest of the United States, 80 km from Miami in the state of Florida.

The park currently has an area of ??6,104 square kilometers, and only accounts for 20 of the original wetland extension.
With more than 607 028 hectares of wild landscapes, inhabited by a wide variety of flora and fauna, you have to plan ahead to take full advantage of the subtropical wildlife of the Everglades National Park.

Flora and Fauna of the Park
Among the characteristic birds of the park include the busico colicorto (Buteo brachyurus), the an? tick (Crotophaga ani) and the American flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber)
Other birds that we can find are herons, ibis, the American tantalum (Mycteria americana), pink spatula (Ajaia ajaja), carrao (Aramus guarauna), red-shouldered busardo (Buteo lineatus), osprey (Pandion haliaetus), pelicans, waders, terns, scratchers and even the caracolero (Rostrhamus sociabilis).
As for mammals and reptiles, we can see otters (Lontra canadensis), Caribbean manatees (Trichechus manatus), alligators (Alligator mississippiensis), crocodiles (Crocodylus acutus), Deer, Pumas and of course many snakes.

How to get to Everglade National Park
Visitors coming from Miami or the north should take the Florida Turnpike Highway, Highway 821 south until it joins the US 1 in Florida City.
Turn right at the first traffic light on Palm Drive and follow the signs to the park.
