Information about Ho Chi Minh

The city of Ho Chi Minh formerly Saigon is the city with more inhabitants in Vietnam, with around 9,000,000 inhabitants.

This Vietnamese city never sleeps, and its history, which includes its great prominence in the Vietnam War, which we can see with the war museums that Ho Chi Minh has.

The city stands out among others, for its huge and modern buildings, its classic exotic street food and its numerous ancient temples.

Under the name of Saigon it was the capital of the French colony of Cochinchina and then became the capital of South Vietnam after the end of the war, between 1954 and 1975.
In 1975 the city of Saigon was joined to the surrounding province of Gia nh and was given the current name of H Ciudad Chí Minh City, although that continues to be used in a popular way.
