Information about Curitiba
Curitiba is a Brazilian city, capital of the state of Paraná, located in the first paranaense highlands.
Curitiba is among the three municipalities with the best infrastructure in the country, just behind São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and one of the cities with the best economic prospects for the future.
Although it is farther north than Porto Alegre and Florianopolis, Curitiba is the coldest capital in Brazil, even when its climate is typically humid subtropical, as in the rest of Paraná. This is due to its altitude (one thousand meters above sea level) and its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean (only 70 kilometers).
