Information about Uyuni

Uyuni is a small city with around 30,000 inhabitants located in the southwest of Bolivia.

Uyuni was founded in July 1889 and is a city that in terms of tourism and income for Bolivia is very important, since the great attraction is the famous Salar de Uyuni.
Due to the great boom of the thousands of tourists who arrive annually to know the Salar de Uyuni, in 2011 the Joya Andina Airport was inaugurated, where daily flights to La Paz, Cochabamba and Sucre operate
