The German Football Museum was inaugurated on October 23, 2015 as the national football museum of the German Football Association (DFB) in Dortmund, Germany.
The German Football Museum aims to be a living place to remember and experience the history of German football. The focus is on information about the historical events of football and the development of sport in all its facets, as well as social and social issues related to football. The museum must be specifically designed to be visitor-oriented and strive for a high-quality and engaging experience. It must inform, stimulate thought, surprise, touch, inspire; in a word: entertain. To do this, it uses the most modern concepts and means of exhibition. The museum is intended to serve as a "forum for meetings and discussions for fans and clubs, friends and supporters, partners and sponsors."
