Pehoé Lake is located within the Torres del Paine National Park. It was named by the Tehuenches, who named it "Lago Escondido" in its dialect because it was found among so many other water sources, which made it difficult to search.

It is located within the Torres del Paine National Park, in the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic, Chile. It is very close to the town of Villa Cerro Castillo and is 145 kilometers north of the city of Puerto Natales.
