His family-owned restaurants in Mexico, so gastronomy has always been an important part of Luis’s life. Visit him at his beautiful apartment for a private cooking class and homecooked meal. Join Luis in his open kitchen to prep and cook the meal you will be sharing later. In your 1.5 hour hands-on cooking class learn to make 2 dishes from scratch.

If you choose the market tour + cooking grade option, you will visit the Mercado de Pachuca. Every Tuesday, three small blocks of side streets in west Condesa are blocked off to traffic for a farmers' market. This is a lively marketplace where you can find stalls selling fresh fruits, vegetables meat and flowers.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Luis, his wife and their dog will welcome you to their beautiful apartment with stunning views of the reforma and other green areas. Join Luis in his open kitchen to prep and cook the meal you will be sharing later. In your 1.5 hours hands-on cooking class learn to make 2-3 dishes from scratch. Help Luis cut, stir, cook and serve dishes using his family recipes, that he has perfected over the years. After you learn to make the soup, main and salsa/dip, join Luis and his wife at the table to share the meal you helped prepare. Through this experience you can expect a delicious homecooked meal, Mexican hospitality, knowledge on local ingredients and culinary traditions.
