Visit Rock Island Lighthouse on Rock Island to explore the “Keepers Cottage” museum & gift shop, climb to the top of the lighthouse to enjoy the magnificent view of the St. Lawrence Seaway.

You may even spot a “Salty” or “Laker” as the ships cruise the seaway from all over the world and great lakes, pleasure boaters, or kayakers enjoying the scenery. Weaving among the islands we travel over 26 unique miles through US and Canadian waters in the 1000 Islands. Stop At: Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House, 1 Heart Island, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607

Enjoy a self guided tour of Boldt Castle to explore and experience an attraction like no other. Construction began on Boldt Castle in 1900 at the bidding of millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife Louise. Boldt Castle was designed as their summer dream home. A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years…

Stop At: Rock Island Lighthouse State Park, St. Lawrence Seaway, Clayton, NY

Climb to the top of the lighthouse for spectacular views of the surrounding area and St. Lawrence Seaway. Visit the "Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage" museum and gift shop to learn about past life on the island. Stroll the accessible walkway along the river or enjoy a bench to watch the boats and ships go by.
