Stop At: The Jordaan, Amsterdam The Netherlands

Explore the Jordaan neighborhood, the old workers area, created in the 17th century, for the fast growth of the city. It quickly became home to boat constructors, sailors, bricklayers and many refugees from other European countries coming to Amsterdam. Jordaan was in those times a slum, but nowadays it is a dynamic lively artistic neighborhood.

Stop At: Noordermarkt, Noorderkerk, Amsterdam The Netherlands

Taste the best Apple pie at Cafe Hegeraad. This is a family owned brown cafe tucked away behind Jordaan’s beautiful Noorderkerk. They have been making their homemade apple pie for ages!

Savor the best Herring of Amsterdam cut up in pieces and served with a a slice of pickle for an amazing combo!
