It is a highly involving tour, giving you the chance to walk the streets, hear the children at play, smell the sidewalk barbecues, taste locally brewed beer and try some of the local food like the mopane worms. Primarily conducted via bicycle, this unique tour gives you the chance to gain a glimpse of the daily life in the township.

Nande is a local tour guide from the Township of Mondesa in Swakopmund, where he grew up. He started his career as a tour guide 15 years ago while still in school. He will enable you to explore the Swakopmund township through this guided tour experience. You will get a unique chance to visit homes, try local traditional food at a family home, and get a glimpse of the daily life in the township.

Explore different cultures and meet local people in the community of Mondesa with your local, personal tour guide. Get to know Namibia better and learn about the different tribes in Namibia. You will be picked up from your accommodation in and around Swakopmund to go first to visit the market in the township.

Walk in the streets of Mondesa, while taking pictures of local houses. Visit schools and a kindergarden as well as community arts and craft projects. Learn about the click language from the Damara tribe. Experience a local meal prepared at a family home then end your tour with a live performance by a local choir from the township.
