Day 1: Portree to Inverness

Stop At: Urquhart Castle, A82, Drumnadrochit IV63 6XJ Scotland
We make a photo stop at Loch Ness with views of the 13th century Urquhart Castle, now derelict.
Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Commando Monument, Spean Bridge, Spean Bridge PH34 4EG Scotland
We stop at the Commando Memorial which pays tribute to the men of the original British Commando Forces who lost their lives during World War II. The monument was built in 1951 and stands proudly with views of Ben Nevis in the distance.

Stop At: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glenfinnan Lodge A830 Rd, Glenfinnan PH37 4LT Scotland
The West Highland Line between Mallaig and Fort William is famous for its wildly beautiful scenery and dreamy sands of the west coast. Take the chance to join the Jacobite Steam Train. The train steams over the 21 arches of the Glenfinnan Viaduct with views across the stunning Loch Shiel, where Bonnie Prince Charlie famously landed in August 1745. Along the coast, you can see the silhouette of the Small Isles, and the bonnie beaches at Arisaig and Morar. You’ll quickly understand why it’s been voted the most scenic rail journey in the world.

After the Steam Train opportunity, we arrive in Mallaig for some lunch. Known as a charming fishing village, Mallaig is the perfect place to enjoy some fish and chips and stretch your legs before our journey continues to Skye.

Stop At: Isle of Skye, Isle of Skye, The Hebrides, Scotland
Now we head “over the sea to Skye”! Look out for the wildlife as we depart from the mainland.

Stop At: Sligachan Old Bridge, A863/a87, Sligachan IV47 8SW Scotland
According to legend, the waters under Sligachan Old Bridge offer eternal youth. Why not give it a go for yourself- Sligachan also offers beautiful views of the Cuillin Hills.

Day 2: Portree to Portree

Stop At: Fairy Pools, Road to Glenbrittle Glenbrittle, IV47 8TA Scotland
We stop to take in the natural beauty of the fairy pools. The crystal-clear waters will take your breath away. Your guide will tell you stories about the folklore of the island, and the fairy stories which bring the island to life.

Stop At: Dunvegan, Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, The Hebrides, Scotland
We enjoy a lunch stop in Dunvegan, a tiny village on the isle of Skye famous for Dunvegan Castle.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Quiraing Viewfield Road, Portree IV51 9ES Scotland
Enjoy the spectacular view of the Quiraing; a stunning display of dramatic cliffs, rock pinnacles and breath-taking views on Skye’s Trotternish peninsula.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Kilt Rock, Scotland
Soak up the iconic view of Kilt Rock, a rugged cliff which resembles – you’ve guessed it – a kilt. Marvel at the breathtaking Mealt Waterfall as it runs into the ocean.

Stop At: The Old Man of Storr, Scotland
When it comes to cool geology, this natural wonder is the absolute pinnacle. Standing tall on Skye’s ancient landslip, the Old Man of Storr is such a poser. Sometimes hidden by mist, this is a popular hangout for mischievous fairies.

Day 3: Portree to Inverness

Stop At: Eilean Donan Castle, Kyle of Lochalsh IV40 8DX Scotland
We stop at the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan. Eilean Donan Castle has links to both clans MacKenzie and MacRae. Pay entrance on arrival.

Stop At: Beauly, Beauly, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Next we stop in the charming highland village of Beauly for the chance to explore. Beauly Priory, which lies at the heart, is a now-derelict monastic community with origins tracing back to the 13th century.

Stop At: Muir of Ord, Muir of Ord, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Our next stop takes us to Glen Ord for a Highland whisky experience! Enjoy a dram whilst your guide explains exactly how it is made, and teaches you about the history of whisky in Scotland.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre, Culloden Moor IV2 5EU Scotland
One of the most somber locations in Scotland, Culloden Battlefield remains mostly untouched to pay respect to those who lost their lives in the final Jacobite Uprising of 1746. Pay on arrival.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Clava Cairns, Balnuaran of Clava, IV2 5EU Scotland
Visit one of the inspirations behind Outlander - the Clava Cairns standing stones. These stones stand proudly at 10 feet tall and are known for being a bronze age burial ground.
Duration: 20 minutes
