Audio Bus Tour at Scenic Routes of Åndalsnes to Trollstigen

Leaving the center and entering the beautiful Rauma Valley, along the Rauma River filled with salmon and the impressive mountains on both sides, our journey takes us to the first photo stop at the Trollwall.

After getting our first impression of the imposing mountain scenery, we will continue towards Trollstigen. We will cross over the "Sogge Bridge" into the beautiful Isterdal Valley, where the spectacular "Trollstigen" serpentine road begins. Our coach driver will take us up 11 hairpin bends to the plateau, where we will have the next photo stop. From a spectacular lookout, we can see the entire scenery of this impressive mountain road, including the surrounding peaks and the wild Stigfossen waterfall. After a definitely unforgettable time on the top of Trollstigen, the route descends back down to Åndalnes. Åndalsnes is the Norwegian Hub of Mountain sports. Tindecenter near the cruise pier is a climbing center and museum, which was build in 2016 for climbing enthusiasts.

Pass By: Andalsnes Train Chapel, Jernbanegata Jernbanestasjonen, Andalsnes 6300 Norway

This chapel is located in an old, discarded railroad carriage, opened in 2003.

Pass By: Romsdalsfjorden, Rauma, Norway

The special mountain formation Romsdalshorn is 1550 m high. You will get to know the special history of the first climbers and also what you can find inside the mountain.

Stop At: Troll Wall, Rauma Municipality, Norway

The Troll Wall is Europe's highest vertical mountain wall. According to myth, it is actually a fossilized troll. But don't worry, in daylight you won't see the Trolls walking around. Otherwise they will be transformed to stone, what has happened here according the the myth. You will get to know this history on the tour and can admire the Troll Wall on a 15 minutes photo stop.

Stop At: Trollstigen, 6300 Åndalsnes, Norway

The impressive Trollstigen Road with it's 11 bends will bring you up to the Top of Trollstigen plateau 800 m over sea level. Here you can admire the architecture of the Visitor Center with its water fountain and small bridges. Or If you need even more adrenaline, watch the traffic spectacle from the ramp towering 200m above the Trollstigen.

Pass By: Stigfossen Waterfall, Andalsnes 6300 Norway

On the way down you will pass again the bridge crossing the magnificent "Stigfossen" cascade with its almost 230m high free fall. The bridge was completed in 1935. If you have good eyes, you will may see the Troll in the waterfall.

Pass By: 2660 Dombås, Norway

On the way back to Åndalsnes, you will see the tracks of the Rauma Railway by the Rauma river. One of the most beautiful railroad routes in Norway, 114 km, crossing 32 bridges and from 0 to 600.
