The Al Hasany or red sand dune is a natural wonder in Wadi Rum that must be seen to be believed. It is a towering mountain of red sand that stands out against the surrounding desert landscape. As the sun sets over the dune, the sand takes on a brilliant red hue that seems to glow in the fading light.

Climbing to the top of the dune is a challenging but rewarding experience. The sand shifts underfoot, making each step a struggle, but the sweeping views of the surrounding desert make it all worth it. From the top of the dune, you can see for miles in every direction, taking in the vast expanse of the Wadi Rum desert.

For those who love photography, the Al Hasany dune is a dream come true. The interplay of light and shadow on the sand creates stunning visual effects that change with the passing of the day. Whether you visit at dawn, midday, or dusk, the dune is a constantly evolving work of art

Stop At: Jebel Khazali, Wadi Rum Jordan
Jebel Khazali, a peak situated in the center of the Wadi Rum Protected Area opens up in a narrow fissure of about 100 m in length. Its inner walls are covered with Thamudic, Nabatean, and Islamic inscriptions, as well petroglyphs depicting humans and animals. Remarkable are the soles of feet petroglyphs, which probably had religious significance. In 1932 the French epigraphist Savignac noted the engravings in the cleft and published some of them in 1934. The petroglyphs and inscriptions of Khazali Siq form an impressive collection being one of the major tourist attractions in Wadi Rum. At the end of the canyon, there are several man-made rock-cut basins for water collection.
