Half-Day Sintra Historical Tour from Ericeira

As we are in Portugal and in each town, there is a local cake, we will certainly try it at the original producer, which is also one of the oldest pastry shops in town.

Also there is an option to try a shot of Ginja served in a chocolate cup.

Last but not least, there will be some time for you to explore, have a coffee or buy some souvenirs if you like. This will be around 45 minutes and after we will start making our way back to Ericeira.


Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Ericeira, Ericeira, Mafra, Lisbon District, Central Portugal

As described previously, our starting point is in Ericeira, in the pick up location and time that we set up with you.
The ride to Sintra takes approximately 40/50 min, we pass through local traditional towns and beautiful landscapes at the rythim of good typical portuguese music.

Duration: 50 minutes

Once we arrive to Sintra, we will jump in an old relique eco friendly electric vehicle in order to access the old narrow roads of Sintra and explore natural corners and the main cultural attractions of this historical town, while hearing about the facts and tales of it, from our specialized local guides.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

We will pass by the main attractions of Sintra, such as the Mouros Castle, while hearing about the history and architecture of such monument.

Pass By: Park and National Palace of Pena, Estrada da Pena, Sintra 2710-609 Portugal

We will pass by the main monuments and attractions of Sintra, such as the Pena Palace.

Stop At: Fonte dos Passarinhos, Parque da Pena, Sintra Portugal

In our adventure through the old roads of the Sintra, we will stop by a Sacred Fontain built on the XVIII century. The water that comes from it, is said to have healing powers in multiple levels of health and that is why it got its holy status as the water of miracles.
As you owill notice, still today, people come to this fountain with empty gallons, to get this water directly from the valleys of Sintra, into their house.

Stop At: Sintra National Palace, Largo Rainha Dona Amelia, Sintra 2710-616 Portugal

Once we are in the town centre we will vist the Garden of the National Palace.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Casa Piriquita, R. Padarias 1, 2710-603 Sintra, Portugal

It´s in this legendary pastry shop that we will taste the delicious town cake and optionally other local sweets

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Centro Historico de Sintra, Sintra 2710-616 Portugal

Once we have visited the historical town centre and taste the typical cakes of this region, you will have time, aproximately one hour, to explore it yourself, buy some souvenirs and prabably some extra delicious local pastry.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Ericeira, Ericeira, Mafra, Lisbon District, Central Portugal

After getting to know the magical corners and tales of Sintra, tasting the local cakes (and possibily the liquors too), buying your souvenirs and share this experiences with nice people from all over the world, it is time to return to Ericeira, where we will drop you at a location of your choice.
