Private tour by hire: Hiroshima Traditional Culture Experience

This tour is a very unique and one-of-a-kind tour of Hiroshima. You will experience Hiroshima as you have never seen it before.
You will be taken around by your own private hire. You will be escorted by an English-speaking driver-guide.
The tour starts from your hotel in Hiroshima City to Hiroshima Airport, so you can make an efficient schedule.
There are three places to visit. The first stop is Kumano, a world-class cosmetic brush manufacturer. The second stop is Saijo, one of the three major sake breweries in Japan. Lunch is at a restaurant directly owned by a sake brewery. Finally, visitors will experience making Japanese scented bags at Aki Kokubunji Temple. This tour will allow visitors to experience the deep and rich traditions of Hiroshima.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Kōyūdō Makeup Brush Workshop, 4-chōme-4-7 Hiradani, Kumano, Aki District, Hiroshima 731-4221, Japan

Take a tour of our workshop that is free of charge.
After the tour, you will experience brush making.
The brushes you will make will be unique powder brushes with flower-shaped tips and tree branches.
You can choose pink or white color. You will be able to create a one-of-a-kind powder brush.
As an SDG initiative, the wood is thinned to contribute to forest conservation.

Stop At: Kamotsuru Sake Brewery, 9-7 Saijohommachi, Higashihiroshima 739-0011 Hiroshima Prefecture

Saijo, Hiroshima, is known as one of Japan's "Three Great Sake Breweries" along with Fushimi in Kyoto and Nada in Hyogo.
Kamotsuru Sake Brewery Co. There is a corner where visitors can experience the sake brewing process up close and personal, as well as a space for tasting sake.
A scenic sightseeing spot lined with red brick chimneys. We invite you to visit this fascinating facility where you can enjoy and learn about sake.
The tour will begin with an explanatory movie (with English, Chinese, and French subtitles) about sake brewing (10 minutes), followed by a tour of the exhibition area (10 minutes). There is also a display of sake brewing tools and a photo spot.
Shopping and tasting available. Cash and credit cards accepted.

It takes about 50 minutes to get here from Kumano Makeup Brush Studio.

After the sake brewery tour, lunch will be prepared at Furansuya next door. Sake pairings are also recommended. The menu is a special lunch menu that changes monthly. (Drinks are paid for individually)

Aki Kokubunji Temple stands quietly in Saijo City. Aki Kokubunji offers a unique temple experience.
“Koubukuro making experience” Experience time: Approximately 60 minutes
A scent bag is a bag filled with a blend of several types of incense that you carry around and place in your room to enjoy the scent. Your very own original fragrance bag.
It takes about 15 minutes to get there from the sake brewery.

The tour ends here. Arrive in about 30 minutes from Aki Kokubunji.
