On this full-day tour your guide will meet you at 9:00am of your hotel lobby in Zhangjiajie city central or Wulingyuan hotel then you visit different mountain areas such as Tianzi Mountian, where the world's longest cable car ride carries you to the mountain's peak, and the unique platform-shaped Yuanjiajie Mountain.
There are more than 500 species of wildlife and vegetation in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, including rare monkeys, gingko trees and thousands of colorful birds. The most notable geographic features of the park are its hundreds of towering sandstone pillars. Fans of Hollywood blockbusters will instantly recognize the stunning landscape as the inspiration for the scenery of Pandora in James Cameron’s hit movie Avatar.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area , lying to the north of Zhangjiajie City, is a charming tourist attraction. It is one of the 40 famous scenic spots in China. It is said to be 'The ampliative miniascape and the contractible fairyland' and was admitted to the 'World Heritage List' in 1992.
The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area boasts of natural beauty where mountains, valleys, forests, caves, lakes and waterfalls exist in total harmony. Over 560 attraction sights can be found here. The strangely-shaped peaks, the absurd stones, the hidden valleys, the wonderful waters and the limestone caves form the 'Five Wonders' of Wulingyuan and they are really worth seeing.
Covering an area of 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts- Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area.

When you purchase the main park entrance tickets and you will take a shuttle bus(20 mins driving) to the Tianzi mountain cable station and need to walk up the 200 steps to reach the station.

After the 20 mins cable car ride, you will reach the top of the Tianzi mountain then you will take a shuttle bus again(5 mins driving) to the Tianzi Mountain central area which is provides stunning views of peaks, which rise one after another. It is known as 'the Monarch of the Peak Forest'. At the top of the mountain, visitors can see the full extent of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Beautiful scenes of the mountain greet visitors in different seasons. There are four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine and the Snow in winter.

After the Yuanjiajie(Avatar mountain), you will take a shuttle(15 mins driving) head to the Bailong Elevator.
Bailong Elevator is very magnificent. The total height of it is 335 meters (1099 feet), of which the running height is 326 meters (1069 feet). 154 meters (505 feet) of the total height is in the mountain wells and the rest of 172 meters (564 feet) was composed of steel derrick and other components. The Elevator includes three exposure sightseeing elevators running parallelly. Each elevator can take 50 passengers every time and the speed is 3 m / s (the speed has been accelerated to 5m / s since 2013). If the three elevators run simultaneously, the amount of one-way passengers will reach 4,000 per hour.

You will hiking around one hour along the Golden Whip Stream then take a shuttle go out of the park and back to the hotel.
Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is famous for its pristine water, its verdant mountains, its steep cliffs and its serene valley. As a veritable “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned by an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. And it is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men(water-surrounded gates).

Next,you will head to the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge area, but you just see the bridge, there is no time for you to visit the Grand canyon.
Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, aka Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon skywalk, is the world’s longest and highest glass bridge, hanging over Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Looking from a distance, it looks like a piece of white silk floating between the clouds and fog, hence it is also called Yuntiandu, meaning “a way of clouds to the sky”. Standing on it, if dare to, you can have a bird’s eye view of the Grand Canyon.

Day 3: Fenghuang - Mount Fanjingshan. O/N Jiangkou.Stop At: Phoenix Ancient Town, Tuojiang Town, Fenghuang County 416200 China
Today you will have a full exploration of the Fenghuang Ancient Town. After breakfast, you will take a boat along Tuojiang River, the mother river of the town. The clean river flows slowly along the city walls and you can see water plants swaying in the gentle waves. In addition, the mist sometimes rises from the quiet green water, making it a fairyland. Then you will be guided to Wanming Pagoda on the north bank of the river. The hexagonal pagoda of around 21 meters (69 feet) high has seven layers. There are copper wind bells hanging at each corner of the eaves. Colored paintings and sculptures are also decorated on the body of the pagoda.
After enjoying the elegant pagoda, we will cruise down to the Rainbow Bridge. Looking out of the window on its second floor, you can have a good view of the green hills, blue water, city walls, red slates, and stilted houses. Besides, you can also see several boats moving quietly through the river.

Day 4: Mount Fanjingshan - Zhenyuan. O/N ZhenyuanStop At: Mount Fanjing, At the junction of Jiangkou County, Songtao County, Yinjiang County, Tongren China
Your guide will meet you at 8am and head to Mount Fanjingshan. You will take the South Route to ascend the mountain. First take park bus from the tourist center to Yu'ao Station where you will take a cable car up to the mountain top area, which will save you a lot of time for you to spend on the highlighting area.
What to see at Fanjingshan:
Located in Tongren, Guizhou province (southwest China), Fanjingshan is the highest peak of Wuling Mountains, 2,570m (8,430ft) above sea level. Besides standing out as a sacred Maitreya mountain for Buddhists, Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve was also established and designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and later announced as a World Heritage Site in 2018.

After the Fanjing Mountain, you will head for Zhenyuan Ancient Town and need 3.5hrs driving, 207KM.
The Zhenyuan town has more than 160 scenic spots including the ancient streets, the caves, temples, pavilions, rivers, bridges with gorgeous natural landscape. Situated between mountains and waters, Zhenyuan is the oldest city of Guizhou with different customs of ethnic minority compared to that of Xijiang. It is extraordinarily quiet compared with many other ancient towns. The town is divided into two parts by the Wuyang River: south 'Wei City' and north 'Fu City', which forms a water town. Hence it is well-reputed as the 'Oriental Venice'. Spend some leisure time to explore in the old town is also a pleasant thing.

Day 5: Zhenyuan - Kaili. O/N KailiStop At: Qinglong Cave Ancient Architecture Group, Wuyang River Bank, Zhenyuan County 557700 China
This morning, you can visit the Qinglong cave before head to Kaili, but is the optional , you can go inside(need to pay the ticket) or just take a photo from outside of the temple.
The Qinglong Cave or Black Dragon Cave is a group of Buddhist and Taoist temples along the Wuyang River. These temples, half built and half caved into the cliff, represent a unique architectural masterpiece in the region. There is nothing like the view from the other side of the river, as it is very impressive. Once indoors, however, the detail of the buildings and the beauty of the statues are equally as interesting.

After the Zhenyuan town, you will transfer to Kaili and visit the Miao villages before check in the hotel in Kaili, you will visit the Lanhua and Jidao and Langde Miao villages due to those villages just nearby the Kaili and need one hour driving from the Kaili city center.
The Langde village is 30 km away from Kaili. Surrounded by green mountains,Langde Village is situated beside a crystal-clear stream. You have to drink "block-the-way" wine when you arrive (a local custom for welcoming the guests). Twelve tables are placed in the middle of the path from the highroad to the gate of the village. Then visit the traditional Miao-style stilt houses enjoy sweet Miao folk songs. After that,you could have a free walk on the roads and courtyards in the village paved with cobbles or bluestone.

At 08:30am, your guide will meet you at Kaili hotel and transfer to the Congjiang Yintan Dong village and need three hours driving.
This village was similar village as Xiaohuang village.
The Yintan Dong village, about twenty kilometers away from Congjiang, is one of the most representative Dong villages in Guizhou for its Dong buildings and daily life of this minority. Although the houses are fairly recent (50-100 years ago ), the rules for the Dong buildings have been met. Taking a good look at the natural environment of the village, the houses, the drum towers, the pavilions, they are competely different from the ones in West! The drum tower of the village soars to 21 feet high in the center of the village. Wherever one is, one can not miss the center f Yintan. Travelers have the feeling of being immersed in time amidst extremely well preserved buildings.

After that, you will transfer to Basha Miao village. Basha is a very special and old Miao Ethnic village and is virtually untouched in any way by modernization. Legends say that Basha's ancestors immigrated from heartland China to this isolated mountainous region over 2,000 years ago.

The Zhaoxing Dong Village, located in Liping County, southeast of Guizhou Province, is one of the largest Dong Villages in Qiandongnan area in Guizhou. Walking into Zhaoxing Dong Village, one will feel as though the clock is being turned back. All the buildings in the village are wooden-stilt houses. This is a picturesque village noted for the beautiful natural sights and unique ethnic flavor. It is surrounded by verdant mountains with a crystal stream running through.

You will take a shuttle bus from Zhaoxing village to Tang'an village and need 15 minutes and after visit, you can hiking down to Zhaoxing village or take a bus back.
The TangAn village is located about 6 km east of Zhaoxing, half way up Mount Longbao, about 840 meters above sea level. The village was first built in the Jiaqin years of Qing Dynasty (A.D 1795-1820). It is now home to over 170 households and more than 800 people. The Dong people live together in clans, and the two main clans being the Ying and Lu. They live scattered between the Banbo and Jiding ranges.

The Qingyan Ancient Town which was established in 1378 by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming dynasty (1368–1644).
Today the town covers an area of 3 square kilometers. It retains much of its original layout and many of its ancient buildings, from the Qing (1644–1912) and even the Ming dynasty. Visitors can see well-preserved stone-slab lanes, archways, watchtowers and battlements.
The town was originally built of stone. Fantastic stone walls still remain, with gates facing north, south, east and west. There were originally eight stone tablets outside the gates and three of these remain today, each with intricate sculptures.
Many other historical relics survive. Among its 37 tourist attractions are 9 temples, 8 shrines, 5 pavilions, 3 caves, 2 ancestral halls, 1 palace and 1 academy. There are also 3 ancient archways. Most of these ancient buildings are exquisitely carved with terrapins, dragons and other traditional Chinese patterns.

The Huangguoshu Waterfall, a milky way in miniature, is the largest waterfall in Asia. Seventy-four meters (243 feet) high and eighty-one meters (266 feet) wide, it is a scenic marvel. Do not miss it if you are in Guizhou Province.
There are mainly three National Parks in this waterfall national park: Waterfalls Cluster, Water-Curtain Cave and Rhinoceros Pool (Xi Niu Tan).
You first the Waterfall-Viewing Pavilion (Guan Pu Ting), where you could see the panorama of the whole waterfall. Then, seen from Water-Viewing Pavilion (Wang shui Ting), you could view the grand scene of surging water. The third one is the Water-Viewing Pavilion (Wang shui Ting) beside the Rhinoceros Pool. The marvelous night scene of the grand waterfall creates lasting impressions.

Next, go to the Dragon Palace Cave (Longong Cave), which is the longest water cave in China. Dragon Palace Cave got its name because it looks like a crystal palace where the "Dragon King" lives. Dragon Palace Cave Scenic Spot has the longest water cave, the widest underground waterfall, the largest Buddhist cave, and lowest natural radiation in China. In 1988, it was approved as a national scenic spot. Covering an area of 60 square kilometers, Dragon Palace Scenic Spot is composed of four parts: the Rape Lake, the Whirlpool, the Leech Pass and the Dragon Palace Cave itself. Dragon Palace Cave includes Heavenly Pool, Dragon Palace, Tiger’s Cave, Longmen Waterfall and other eye-catching landscapes.

The Malinghe Gorges are located in the northeastern part of the scenic area. Falls somersault from the hilltops along the valley and there are various Karst caves behind the falls or in the cliffs. Lush, subtropical plants cover the riversides.
The most beautiful part of the gorge is Tian Xing Hua Lang-Heavenly star gallery which is about 2kms long with a average depth of 200 meters, lot of cascades make the grand canyon a stunning picture. You need to walk down to the bottom of the canyon, then walk along the gorge, finally climp up through another gate, the total trip for sightseeing Xian Xing Hua Lang is about 2 and half hours, remember to wear hiking shoes good for walking. Now there is a cable car, you may pay the extra money to take the cable car if you don't want to walk.

Wanfenglin is the important component of national scenic area Maling River Canyon. East peak forest is characterized by Karst peak cluster landform, and west peak forest is highland Karst landform. Due to grand and beautiful scenery and perfect style, Peak Forest has a sense of wonderland. Standing on the Dragon Gate, travelers can overlook the panoramic view of Dian Lake, which is magnificent and gorgeous and attracts many people to Western Hill. Then, you will visit the Xizhou, aside from Dali, is another great place to observe the typical Bai Minority folk culture and architecture. A characteristic Bai courtyard residence consists of rooms on three sides and a decorative screen wall on the south direction. These residence generally have carved beams, turned up eaves, with the splendid of their green, gold, blue and white paint.
Xizhou is a very quiet and still uncrowded town. It has the advantage of preserving itself from mass tourism and one can observe a real local life, especially around the main square where families meet, where children like to play until after dark. Sit in a restaurant or cafe around the square, enjoy some fresh local beer, and watch the life around you.

Next, go to Three pagodas which is facing the Erhai Lake in the front, the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple of Dali constitutes a situation of tripartite confrontation with a large pagoda and two small ones. As one of the oldest and most magnificent architectures standing gracefully and forcefully in South China, it is a famed place of interest, a symbol of ancient history and culture of Yunnan Province. Built amid previous Chongsheng Temple by Nanzhao Kingdom, a local regime of Tang Dynasty (618-907), the three pagodas was named after the temple. Though the temple was damaged in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the three pagodas were reserved after numerous natural disasters and manmade incidents. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple was designated as an important heritage site protected under the state in 1961 and inscribed as AAAAA grade scenic area in 2011.

At the end, drive to Shaxi and need 3hrs driving, 130KM.
The Shaxi is Located between Lijiang and Dali, it used to be a booming bazaar along the Ancient Tea-Horse Road. Most of the primitive dwelling complex is well preserved, including temples, opera stages, stone bridges, shops, inns and tea houses. However, though the town may convey a sense of vicissitudes, you can still trace its flourishing and prosperous past.

Day 15: Shaxi - Lijiang. O/N Lijiang.Stop At: Yunnan Shaxi Ancient Town, Southwest of Jianchuan County, Dali China
Your guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at around 09:00 in the morning. You will be escorted to the well-known Lijiang Jade Dragon Mountain in around 120 minutes ride, 100km.

Today, you may visit the Snow Mountain with the cale car to Spruce Meado first or visit White Water River first, But it really depends of the Impression Lijiang Show, because the show time will depend on daily number of visitors from 11:00am--15:00pm and the show lasts for 60 minutes.
The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is very easy to visit via a system of cable cars which take visitors to different parts of the mountain. The 13 peaks, home to several glaciers, are covered in snow all year round. Different altitudes give rise to changing landscapes with peaceful meadows giving way to snow-covered paths and glaciers. We choose to Spruce Meado with the cable car due to with the lower altitude(3300M) and less people than the way to Glacier Park and also with the nice view.

Next, go to Lijiang Impression show. The show is outdoor performance, including traditional songs and dance by local ethnic people selected from the villages around Lijiang, is held at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, just out of the main building, at pre-determined times.

Stop At: Blue Moon Valley, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lijiang China
Afterwards, take the private car to White Water River(Blue Moon Valley). The Blue Moon Valley actually is an extremely blue river meandering through a lush valley of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Seen from a distance, it resembles a blue crescent moon inlaid at the foot of the mountain. That's how the place got its beautiful name! However, blue is not the only colour of the river. If it rains, the white mud and limestone rubble at the riverbed will be swirled up, making the water as white as milk. Therefore, local Naxi people name it White Water River (Baishui River).

Your driver and guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 08:30am then transfer to Tiger Leaping Gorge and need 2hrs driving, 80KM.

Stop At: Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Xia), 100 km NW of Lijiang Hutiaoxia Town, Shangri-La County 674402 China
You will set out for you hiking tour to the upper part of the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Take a 15~20 minute walk along the plank road to the viewing platform on the valley floor. Strong currents of Jinsha River roar through the narrow valley, with waves slapping against the rocks. Please have your camera ready to capture this spectacular view. At the narrowest point, you will see a giant rock of 13 meters (43 feet) high seated in the middle of the river, abruptly cutting the torrents into two branches. Meanwhile, the surging waves crash against the rock with a tremendous roar. A special viewing platform was built there for visitors to fully appreciate this impressive scenery and take pictures.

Afterwards, take the private car to Black Dragon Pond Park. At this park, we can take the panorama view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
This park is the landmark of Lijiang. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China because of its exquisite beauty. Its surroundings are all green with grass and shaded by swaying willow trees. In its waters, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is reflected. At the far side of the pool, there are renovated buildings used for art exhibition such as the Moon-Embracing Pavilion with its own white marble bridge across the water, and the Five-Phoenix Temple built during the Ming Dynasty.

Next, got to Baisha village, at this village, you can visit the Dongba pictograms, The mural paintings in Dabaoji Palace and 'ten thousand camellia blossoms' tree etc..
Baisha literally means 'white sands'. The town was the first settlement of the Naxi people after they migrated south from the Tibetan plateau. It was once the political, commercial and cultural center of the the powerful, yet mysterious, Naxi Kingdom. The region became part of the Yuan Empire in late thirteenth century. The Mu family, which administrated Lijiang from the late fourteenth to the early eighteenth century, had its birthplace in Baisha. The area also played a large part in the strategic commercial network known as the Tea Horse Road.

Stop At: Shuhe Ancient Town, 2 Miles North West of Lijiang Ancient Town, Lijiang 674100 China
After lunch, you will have a leisure walk in Shuhe Ancient Town.
Shuhe, or 'Shaowu' in Naxi language, means the village at the foot of the high mountain. In the past, behind the village there was a high moutain named Jubao, so people named the village. Shuhe Ancient Town is located 4km to the northwest of the Lijiang Ancient Town. Its central part covers an area of about 5 square kilometers with a population around 3,000. In 1997, Shuhe was ranked as an important part of Lijiang Ancient Town which was already the World Cultural Heritage named by UNESCO.
