Swiss countryside tour in free-cars town

Wengen is a lovely car-free mountain town at 1274m altitude. It's located on a big cliff between Lauterbrunnen and Männlichen so the views are just stunning.

The route I have chosen will take us to the charming old part of town. This is where the first residents of Wengen settled, now a small habitat of a few farms, about 30 minutes from the center. This place will show us the true beauty of the Swiss countryside full of cheeses from local farmers and cows. We will visit the most important and picturesque places in the area known only to the locals.

However, views are not everything - we will pass a local farm, where we will have opportunity to buy ice cream, cheese and cold cuts directly from the farmer. There are various animals on the farm, such as donkeys, llamas, alpacas, goats and, of course, cows grazing everywhere along our trail.

Along the way, we will see beautiful views on the famous Jungfrau, Mürren, Schiltorn (place of James Bond movie production) and the Lauterbrunnen valley literally all the time.

We will pass a local farm, where we will have opportunity to buy ice cream, cheese and cold cuts directly from the farmer.

Did you know that since 1930 the longest and most difficult Ski Slalom in Europe - the International Ski World Cup "Lauberhorn race" is taking place exactly in Wengen every year- We will have the opportunity to see with our own eyes how steep slopes skiers from all over the world face every year.

A viewpoint on a cliff surrounded by enclosures with animals such as alpacas, llamas, goats, and chickens. From there, you can see two record-breaking long waterfalls in the world.
