What is special about Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque-
It is the country's largest mosque

It has the capacity for 20,000 worshippers, with 6,500 in the main musalla prayer hall, 750 in the women's musalla and a further 8,000 in the outer paved grounds, plus additional space in the interior courtyard and along the passageways.

Stop At: Royal Opera House, Al Kharijiyah Street, Muscat 113 Oman

The Royal Opera House Muscat is Oman's premier venue for musical arts and culture. The opera house is located in Shati Al-Qurm district of Muscat on Sultan Qaboos Street.

Stop At: Qurum Beach, Al Shati Street, Muscat 113 Oman

This beach lies in AlQurm Area in the heart of Muscat and extends over a large area. A number of large hotel chains are built next to it, such as Hotel Muscat InterContinental and Crowne Plaza. This beach is considered one of the busiest in Muscat due to its location near shopping centres and restaurants.

Stop At: Bait Al Zubair, Al-Saidiya Street, Muscat 113 Oman

Bait Al Zubair is cultural foundation started initially with a private museum that opened its carved wooden doors to the public in 1998. It is funded by its founders, the Zubair family. In 2005 the family established the Bait Al Zubair Foundation as the cultural and social arm of the family-owned business, The Zubair Corporation.

Stop At: The National Museum, Al Saidiya Street Opposite Al Alam Palace in Muscat, Muscat 113 Oman

The museum was established by royal decree in 2013 and opened July 30, 2016.[1] It was designed to be the Sultanate's flagship cultural institution, showcasing the nation’s heritage from the earliest human settlement in the Oman Peninsula some two million years ago through to the present day.

Stop At: Al Alam Palace, Waterfront Oman

Al Alam Palace, one of six residences of the sultan, has a history of over 200 years, and was built under the watch of Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, the 7th direct grandfather of Sultan Qaboos.

Pass By: Mirani Fort, Qasr Al Alam Street Old Muscat Oman

Al Mirani Fort in Muscat was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. It, along with neighbouring Al Jalali Fort, looks out to the Gulf of Oman and would guard the port of Muscat in the past. The Mirani Fort and Al Jalali Fort are located on either side of the palace. Although closed to the public, visitors can view this fort from outside. This fort was extremely instrumental in the downfall of the Portuguese. The fort has many ancient war tools on display.



Stop At: Mutrah Souq, Mutrah Market Near Mutrah Corniche, Muscat Oman

Mutrah Souq is a prototype of old Eastern markets, characterized by narrow winding alleys roofed with wood. This Souq goes by another name among the Omanis: the Market of Darkness, due to its myriad of alleys and roads lined by shops that block the sun during the day.
