Taking off and landing on the water at Tuan Chau Marina, our 25-minute scenic flight showcases the highlights of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay, offering a completely different perspective than from a cruise ship. See some of the 1,600 islands and islets that are scattered across the Gulf of Tonkin, along with lagoons, beaches, and towering sea cliffs.
Keep your camera at the ready throughout the trip, as aerial photographs are the best way to capture the grand scale of Halong Bay, and the vast number of islands and rock formations that define the Gulf of Tonkin coast. You’ll see Dau Be Island, whose sheer cliffs are a destination for rock climbers and adventurers, then fly past Cong Do Island, where the sinuous coastline shelters hidden lagoons. Pass over Bo Hon Island, and try to spot the caves and grottoes that pock the island’s water-eroded rock formations.
