Stop At: Aram Khachaturian Museum, Zarobyan YA. str. 3, Yerevan 0009 Armenia

Aram Il'yich Khachaturian was a Soviet Armenian composer and conductor. He is considered one of the leading Soviet composers.
The house-museum was founded in 1978 and opened in 1982.
It aims to perpetuate the memory of the great artist, to preserve his rich musical heritage and to pass it on to future generations.

Stop At: Alexander Tamanyan Statue, Mokovyan str. 10, Yerevan 0009 Armenia

Architect Alexander Tamanyan designed many of Yerevan's prominent buildings. Work on the monument lasted for about 4 years and it was opened in 1974. Yerevan’s chief architect appears lost in thought over the city plan laid out in front of him on three stones.

Stop At: Monument Avetik Isaakyan, Abovyan str. 27 Кольцевой бульвар, Yerevan 0009 Armenia

Avetik Isahakyan.was a great Armenian poet and writer. Isahakyan’s best work is full of sorrowful and painful reflections on the fate of humanity, on the injustice of the world and is filled with love for his native land, for his people.

Stop At: Katoghike Church, Intersection of Abovyan Street and Sayat-Nova Avenue, Yerevan Armenia

This is the oldest church in Yerevan and dates back to 1264.

Stop At: Children’s Art Museum, Abovyan str. 13, Yerevan 0001 Armenia

Gathered here today are over 150,000 works by children from over 110 countries including pictures, sculptures, embroideries, appliques, carpets, tapestry, masks and dolls. The gallery’s large displays introduce us to the realm of children’s fantasy. Visitors to this unusual museum get to revisit the clear-cut world of childhood.

Stop At: Arno Babajanyan Statue, Tumanyan O. str. 34 Corner of Tumanyan and Terian Streets, Yerevan 0001 Armenia

Arno Babajanyan was an Armenian composer and pianist during the Soviet era. He was born in Yerevan. Much of his music is rooted in Armenian folk music and folklore, which he generally uses in the virtuosic style of Rachmaninov and Khachaturian. The statue was the subject of controversy when first unveiled due to the unusual depiction of its subject..

One of the most striking landmarks on Republic Square, and indeed, in all of Yerevan, is the Singing Fountains. Every day at 9pm, except Monday, hundreds of adults and children are there to enjoy a unique combination of dancing water and music – an extraordinary visualization of the world’s classical masterpieces as well as national and popular motifs of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Yeghishe Charents was an Armenian poet, writer and public activist. Charents' literary subject matter ranged from his experiences in the First World War to socialist revolution, and frequently the country and its people. He is recognized as Armenia’s most significant poet of the 20th century.

Stop At: Zoravor S. Astvatsatsin Church, Gazar Parpyettsi str., Yerevan 0002 Armenia

In the middle of a residential neighborhood, amongst modern urban developments lies Zoravor Surp Astvatsatsin, one of the oldest active churches in Yerevan. The temple is said to have been founded in the seventh century by Ananias the Apostle whose relics are buried in the foundation in a special cell under the tiling.

As a specialized museum of modern and contemporary art, this centre of Armenian culture became the first in the territory of the former Soviet Union. For the next 20 years, this museum remained the only centre of Contemporary Art in the above-mentioned region
