CHAUCHILLA CEMETERY GOLD AND CERAMIC ARTISAN PROCESS

The visit to the sacred cemetery of Chauchilla can do in the morning or afternoon. We headed to the Pan heading south about 20 km. We make a detour along a road in the desert about 8 km and reach the necropolis of Chauchilla. Here we can clearly understand about the mummification process and customs of the ancient Nasca.



In this cemetery we can see remains of pottery, textiles and mummies with long hair more than two meters long rasta type, original tombs with mummies mummified fetal position and children. We will provide guides who will provide accurate information about the whole process of mummification.
Returning to the city will make a short visit to a ceramic workshop where we explain and demonstrate how the people of this civilization made pottery for thousands of years.



To end this tour we visit a place where artisanal miners process gold with a technique that goes back to colonial times using large stones that serve as mortars, water and mercury. Here there will be a person who can you explain the whole process work enclosing said then to understand all the work behind a gold nugget. End of service and return to their hotels.
