ETHNO-ASTRONOMICAL TOUR

Since many centuries ago, before the arrival of the Spanish, in the last American settlement, there were wise observers of the universe, where they interpreted the sky and each object that exists in it, in each black space they visualized figures that reflect the circumstance in the that they lived, animals, water, rivers, calendars and many other things, such as the journey after death and a stay in the other continuous world.

In this Ethno Astronomical tour, we want to share and help to understand, the Andean worldview, the sky read and interpreted by our local natives Los Likan Antay or Atacameños.

In this way we will find out the name and meaning of each figure in the sky, we will talk about the River, indicated in what is known as the Milky Way, and the great importance that this great trip after death.
Also learn more about their religiosity, culture and, most importantly, respect for their Beliefs, among others.

Specification
We head 7 km from San Pedro de Atacama, directly to the Ayllu de Solor, where a space for astronomy awaits us. There we will be able to observe the sky through three telescopes: a 16 Meade - and two 18 and 20 Skywatchers.
We have a professional photographer. The tour is based on astronomical science and the High Andean Worldview.
