Day 1: Istanbul to Denizli by plane and Pamukkale and Hierapolis ancient city day tour and overnight in Kusadasi

Stop At: Pamukkale Thermal Pools, Pamukkale Turkiye
Pamukkale is often referred to as the Cotton Castle, which is the Turkish translation. The hot springs in the area have deposited minerals over many many years to leave us with the cascading white cliffs of Pamukkale


Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Hierapolis & Pamukkale, Pamukkale 20280 Turkiye
Hierapolis is an Ancient City that dates back to as far as the 2nd Century. People used to come to Hierapolis to cure or treat their aching ailments. It became a popular spa city over the years with a mix of Pagan, Roman, Jewish and Christian influences.

Stop At: Pamukkale Tiyatrosu, Izmir Blv. Yanyolu No:3, Pamukkale 20150 Turkiye
The Grand Theatre of Hierapolis is one of the main attractions to the ruins. The theatre us to house up to 15,000 and what you see today is the steep passageways and aisles leading down to the main stage.

Stop At: Byzantine Church, Hierapolis, Pamukkale Turkiye
Gymnasium In Roman times, the gymnasium was the gathering place for people to come socialize whilst being a spectator to he athletes. It was the place for these athletes to show off their skills and was also used as a training facility.

The House of the Virgin Mary is situated on top of BulBul Mountain that overlooks all of Selcuk. It is said that this house is where Mary saw out the last years of her life. It is now a very important pilgrimage sight for Christians.

The Temple of Artemis is known to date back as far as 6th Century B.C. Now one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world, what you see left standing today is the foundations and some columns that indicate the grandeur of this temple

Stop At: Isa Bey Mosque, Selcuk 35920 Turkiye
The Isabey Mosque dates back to the years 1374 and 1375. Throughout all of Turkey displays the most beautiful of Seljukian architecture with crown like doors and beautiful mosaics

The Grand Theatre of Ephesus is one of the highlights within ruins. It is well preserved and still used today for theatre and music. Its an important monument as it is said to be site where St Paul preached.

The Library of Celsus is the highlight of Ephesus. The two-story building is marvel to architecture of the time. Dating back to 117 A.D this magnificent building was once one of the most beautiful under the Roman Empire.

The Odeon Theatre is the second theatre in the ruins of Ephesus. It can be referred to as the Bouleutrion as it was predominately used for the meetings of the Senate and had a second use for theatre shows.

Trajan Brothel The finding of the statue of Priapus with an oversize phallus made that it clear that there was a brothel in Ephesus. It is located between the main road Curetes Street and Marble Street.
