These 2 places are the best combinations. Phnom Bok (Bok Mountain) is located around 20 KM from Krong Siem Reap. It is considered as a high mountain around 630 steps to get to the top. If you prefer a quiet place with a nice view, I highly recommend this one. If you are not a mountain climber you might need to stop around 5 to 10 times on the way to the top (Proof me wrong when you come back). When you finish the stairs, you can just sit to relax under the clear sky and enjoy the view for a while before you continue your journey to explore the other thing.

There is a church, just in the middle, and near the church there is an ancient temple standing there to allow 2 big flower trees showing its beauty and spreading the smell to the air.Just like most foreigners you might encounter the curiosity of where the origin of these flower trees came from- I myself as a local here still can not find a logical answer to this. Don't forget to bring your water, because you might can't find the water on the mountain.

You better go there in the early morning. Along the way back to the city center you will have to visit Banteay Samre temple, which is not that far from the mountain. But if you wish to end your trip with the sunset on the top of the mountain you will have to start your trip with the temple first.
