• After picking you up we will visit a 5th-generation family-owned workshop in Tonala to appreciate one of the most refined ceramic techniques in the world: barro petatillo.
• Then, we'll visit the market, the church and the town square of Tonala to experience the lifestyle of a traditional Mexican barrio.
• Our adventure continues inTlaquepaque, where we will explore charming pedestrian streets lined with art museums, galleries and artisan shops housed in converted historic mansions. Find everything from textiles and blown glass to pottery and leather!
• Lastly we will taste the local cuisine while drinking cocktails, beer or coffee at Casa Luna, the most beautiful restaurant in Mexico.
After our fully-immersive cultural experience you will gain a deeper understanding of Mexico's rich history and artistic culture.

Itinerary

Stop At: Tonala, Tonala, Guadalajara Metropolitan Area

• We will explore the municipal market, the local church, and the main square of Tonala to experience first-hand the community lifestyle of a traditional working-class barrio.
• We will also visit the city hall to learn about the town’s history and indigenous ancestry.
• Finally, we’ll visit the workshop and house of the Bernabe family to admire one of the most refined ceramic techniques in the world.

Stop At: Tlaquepaque, Tlaquepaque, Guadalajara Metropolitan Area

• We will walk in Independencia street: a vibrant pedestrian corridor lined with spectacular 19th-century mansions now turned into boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and museums.
• We'll visit the art galleries of renowned local artists such as Sergio Bustamente, Agustin Parra and Rodo Padilla.
• We'll visit the largest tequila store in the world, with more than 2000 different brands, some of them available for tasting.
• We'll have lunch at a spectacular restaurant, Casa Luna, decorated with Tlaquepaque’s most elegant crafts.
