On the way visit Tamchog Lhakhang, which is located on the ridge with beautiful view. Walk through the bridge with picturesque landscape.

Stop At: Thimphu Chorten (Memorial Chorten), Thimphu Bhutan
The National Memorial was built in 1974 by Her Majesty Ashi Phuntsho in the memorial of the third King. The national Memorial Chorten is located in the center of the capital city, and the
interior of the Chorten has a large number of paintings of Tantric deities, in explicit sexual poses
that sometimes can be a little disconcerting to visitors.

Day 2: Thimphu SightseeingStop At: Buddha Dordenma, Kuensel Phodrang Viewing Point, Thimphu 11001 Bhutan
After breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang The Kuensel Phodrang or the Buddha is situated on
top of a hill overlooking the city of Thimphu where you can enjoy a great view of the Thimphu
Valley on both sides. It can be accessed by road and is about 15 minutes away from the city’s
center

Motithang Takin Preserve
The Motithang Takin Preserve also known as the Mini Zoo by many is a small natural preserve
for the Takin - Bhutan’s national animal. This is a rare animal of the goat antelope family and a
particular species is only found in Bhutan. The preserve is a forested preserve that mimics the
Takin’s natural habitat, in addition to the Takin there are a few musk deer and barking deer that
live inside the preserve.

The museum houses a rich collection of equipment, tools, household objects and artefacts from rural households, all of which offer a glimpse of the traditional Bhutanese lifestyle. Apart from showcasing these objects, the museum is also involved in organising regular demonstrations of rural traditions, skills, customs and habits of the local people. Educational programs for children are also held in the museum.

National Institute for Zorig Chusum or the School of Arts and Crafts is an Institute where
students undertake a six-year course on the 13 traditional arts & crafts.

The original Thimphu Dzong (the Dho-Ngyen Dzong) is said to have been constructed in 1216
by Lama Gyalwa Lhanangpa. And later the Dzong was conquered by Shabdrung Ngawang
Namgyal, who found the Dzong to be too small and expanded it to what is now known as
theTashichho dzong is also called the "fortress of glorious religion." It was erected in 1641 and
was subsequently rebuilt by King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in the 1960s. Now it houses the
secretariat building, the throne room and the office of the King and central monk body.

Dochu-La Pass
The Dochu La Pass located at an altitude of 3150 meter above sea level is probably the best
known mountain pass in Bhutan. On a clear day it offers an incredible view of Himalayan peaks.
Another striking feature at the pass is the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens.

Day 4: Trongsa - BumthangStop At: Ta Dzong Museum, Above the Trongsa Dzong, Trongsa Bhutan
Overlooking the magnificent Trongsa Dzong, the Ta Dzong is a majestic circular five story tower flanked by two lower towers. With its magnificent design and impressive aesthetic, the Ta Dzong is an awe-striking marvel of traditional Buddhist architecture and a popular tourist attraction. Built by Choeje Minjur Tenpa, the first governor of Trongsa, in 1652, the tower served as a watchtower and protected the Trongsa Dzong, which was the main stronghold of the town during that time, against external threats. Now the building has been serving mainly as a museum since 2008.

Kunzangdrak is a Buddhist sacred site in the Tang Valley of central Bhutan. It lies at an altitude of 3,350 metres (10,990 feet) in the hollow of a cliff.
Best way to enjoy the place is to take hike through the villages and see beautiful view of the village.

The Burning Lake is a 30-minute drive from Chamkhar Town, located along the road to Ura or the Tang village in central Bhutan's Tang Valley.

Day 6: Bumthang to Gangtey/PhobjikhaStop At: Phobji Nature Trail, Gangtey, Gangtey Bhutan
The hike takes about 1hr 30 minutes through the pine forest and small bamboo plants. You can see
the Phobjikha valley so beautifully from this hike. It is one of the best hiking places for the Nature
lovers. During the winter months, we can see the endangered species of birds – Black Neck Cranes.

The Royal Society for Protection of Nature, also known as The Crane Centre, displays material on the
cranes and their environment, as well as guiding conservation awareness operations on this

The Gangteng Monastery generally known as Gangtey Gonpa or Gangtey Monastery, is an important monastery of Nyingmapa school of Buddhism. It was built in 1613 by the first Peling Gyalsé Rinpoche
or Gangteng Tulku, Rigdzin Pema Tinley, who was the grandson of the great Bhutanese “treasure
revealer”.

Day 7: Gangtey - PunakhaStop At: Chimi Lhakhang Temple, Punakha Bhutan
Chimi Lhakhang is a temple of Drukpa Kuenley, who is known as the Divine Madman for his eccentric
behaviors. He is also considered a symbol of fertility and many childless couples go to his temple for
blessing. It is about a 30-minute hike across the fields where you would find paintings of phalluses on
the houses.

The Dzong was built in 1637 and it was named as Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great
Happiness). The Dzong is beautifully located in between the two rivers called Pho (male) and Mo
(female) chhu (river). Punakha was the capital of Bhutan till 1955. The establishment of the
Wangchuck Dynasty on 17th December, 1907 took place here and the first National Assembly was
also held in the Dzong in 1953.

Suspension Bridge, which is always adorned with colorful prayer flags, is one of the longest
suspension bridges in Bhutan.The bridge offers a spectacular view of the river and valley.

It is 45 minutes hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel chorten with the picturesque view of the rice terraces along the river.

Day 9: ParoStop At: Paro Taktsang, Taktsang Trail, Paro Bhutan
The wooden structure built amazingly, stands bravely on a cliff. It is said that the great Guru
Rinpoche flew here on the back of a tigress and set up this monastery when he brought the
teachings of the Buddhist Dharma to Bhutan in the 8th Century. The monastery was built in
1692 by Gyalse Tenzin Rabgaye who is said to be one of the reincarnations of Guru
Rinpoche. From the road, the hike toward Taktshang follows an uphill route and takes
approximately 2-3 hours at an average walking pace on a clear, sunny day.
