Joshua's Amazon Expeditions will be led you on an Amazon Boat trip Exploring the Rio Negro and some tributaries, where you can release by the sound of the jungle and explore the region by treking in a virgin area of rain forest . During this trip you will have the chance to go fishing, trekking, cayman spoting at nigth, sun rise, bird watching, the see the magnificante Meeting of the Waters of the (rio Negro and Solimoes ) and visit the indigenous community that leaves amount the River.

Itinerary

Day 1: Begin of the Trip

Pass By: Museu da Amazonia (MUSA), Avenida Margarita S/N Cidade de Deus, Manaus, State of Amazonas 69099-285 Brazil
The pick is at 05:00 am from the hotel, We will begin the trip by car, where we will drive across the city of Manaus to the Reserve of Musa (Natural Pristine Reserve). We are going up a tower above the Terra Firm uplands, a unique environment for canopy birds such as macaws, toucans, parrots, and raptors. We do the first sunrise of our adventure, and we will eat a regional breakfast at Musa. Then we are heading to the port of Manaus to board in the regional boat (with cabins with air conditioning ).

Pass By: Meeting of Waters, Rio Negro e Rio Solimoes, Manaus, State of Amazonas 69005-141 Brazil
At this very first part of the excursion, we are going to visit the meeting of the waters,(Rio negro & solimoes ), we want to show you exclusively the ecosystems of the Amazon & Negro rivers. We visit the ecosystem of Várzea (it is an environment with a high diversity of habitats and is considered the most species-rich periodic inundated forests worldwide (Wittmann et al 2006)

Pass By: Rio Ariaú, Amazonas, Brazil
Lunch will be served at 12:00h (noon), we continue sailing through Rio Negro until we reach the Ariaú river (a place for nocturnal Amazonian wildlife such as Caimans, Sloth, Bats, and Night Birds). Dinner & Overnight!

Day 2: Jungle tour

Pass By: Rio Ariaú, Amazonas, Brazil
At 05:30 am we leave by canoe for observing the wildlife, we explore narrow creeks to see birds and mammals. Breakfast is served at 08:00 am, still in the morning, we are going to swim with the Pink Dolphins (an instructive play). Lunch will be served at 12:00h (noon), In the afternoon we paddle a canoe to search for a magnificent primate the Golden-backed Uacari – Cacajao melanocephalus. Among Uacaris monkeys, the supposedly nearest to archetypic (prototypic) ancestral form for the genus represented by the extant Black-headed Uacaris (Van Roosmalen et al.,2000). Different animals migrate laterally during the aquatic phase to search for food in the low areas of the Rio Negro. Dinner and overnight!

Day 3: Exploring the Anavilhanas National Park

Pass By: Arquipelago de Anavilhanas, Parque Nacional de Anavilhanas Bella Vista, Anavilhanas, 40km from Manaus Barra Do Rio Negro, Amazonas, Brazil, Manaus, State of Amazonas Brazil
At 05:40 am we leave by motorized canoe through the narrow canal to observe birds such as macaws, toucans, parrots, eagles, hawks, osprey, ducks & hoatzins. This area has a great diversity of birds and we are going to explore as much as possible at the best time (early morning). Our breakfast will be served at 08:00 am, then we are going to the arena of the Wire-tailed Manakins - Pipra filicauda (a display arena).

Pass By: Rio Apuaú, Amazonas, Brazil
Lunch will be served at 12:00h noon, in the afternoon we navigate to the land of the Apuaú River region, this is a massive land that is part of a natural corridor in the Amazon Basin. A pristine zone out of the beaten track, and a great place for a jungle walk Exploring more these areas of the remote region in the Amazon. Dinner & overnight!

Day 4: Exploring the Jungle at the Apuau River

Pass By: Rio Apuaú, Amazonas, Brazil
Breakfast at 06:00 am, afterward, we are going for walk (Primary Rainforest) to explore the wildlife and learn about the medicinal plants of the Amazon. We walk through trails to approach the animals, plants, birds, insects, amphibians, and plenty of birds. Our biologist shows specific diversity and ecological interactions.

Pass By: Rio Cuieiras, Manaus - AM, Brazil
Lunch at 12:30h, in the afternoon we are cruising through the Islands of Anavilhanas to reach the Cuieras river, explore a panoramic view along the river to see grey Dolphins and a nice sunset. Dinner & overnight!

• Lunch: Generally prepared with regional fresh fish, chicken, beef, beans, salads, rice, vegetables, and fruits.

Day 5: Exploring the Rio Negro

Pass By: Lago de Acajatuba, State of Amazonas, Brazil
At 07:00 am we eat breakfast, then we are going to visit a native family (Indigenous people) that rely on the forest and agriculture, we want to see their way of life and learn about their local products and handicrafts. We also can teste some of the local food with them, after our visit in the Indians community we start to cruising down the river.

Pass By: Port of Manaus, Marques de Santa Cruz, 25, Manaus, State of Amazonas Brazil
Lunch is served at 12:00h, then we navigate on the way back to Manaus. Drop off at the hotel or airport!
