Funchal: Half-day Beginners Canyoning

Join us on this beautiful canyoning adventure. Suitable for beginners, but also for people that did canyoning once or twice before.

Itinerary

This canyoning tour is a sportive challenge and will show you an insight of rural Madeira. Hidden in a beautiful valley lies this green canyon, where time seems to stand still. After a short walk through a rural area, we will reach to the beginning of the canyon. All year round water flows in this canyon. We come across 5 different rappels varying in altitude up to 12 meters, 2 small slides and 2 small jumps (optional). The trees in this canyon are covered with mystic tree beard and we will also encounter fennel (funcho), where the capital Funchal is named after. At the end of the canyon we walk in ten minutes, back to the starting point.
