A taste of Curitiba at our best local Markets

Come and join us for a guided tour at Curitiba´s best local markets: the Municipal Market and our famous Sunday Street Market at old town, with plenty of stories and tastings.

Make the most of your weekend in Curitiba, and visit two of our most known tourist attractions at once, in a Sunday morning.

This tour happens in small groups, from 4 to 7 people, and it combines history, culture and tastings. It´s a great opportunity to dive into Curitiba´s culture, visiting the places with insider tips from a local guide, and to have a good time tasting local foods.

Our Sunday Street Market, one of the biggest in Brazil, happens at old town, an area filled with culture and history, and our Municipal Market has almost 160 years of history.

Get to know our local markets in a different way, strolling with a knowledgeable local guide!

Itinerary

We will start our tour exploring together the aisles of the Municipal Market and visiting different stands, where we will listen to interesting stories and also do tastings, such as coffee, local snacks (“carne de onça”, “pinhão”), cheese, salami, nuts, cachaça.
The tour explores the variety of products offered by our local Market: we will visit delicatessens, fruit stalls, cachaçarias, fish and meat stalls, coffee shops, spices and various stands.
At the second part of our tour, we will go to old town (by car/uber). There we´ll walk by some of the many stands (there are more than 1,300!) of the Street Market (“Feira do Largo”).
This market has a great variety of art crafts, clothes, accessories, home utilities, and also food stands. There our local guide will share with the group a bit of Curitiba´s history, since it will be in a place full of culture and history, and we will also have some tastings (such as “pastel” and “caldo de cana”).
Feel free to do some shopping, both local markets have an incredible variety of products.
The tour ends around 1pm, at the old town, and you can enjoy lunch right there if you want. There you can find restaurants or pubs for a delicious lunch, and our local guide can give you good suggestions at the end of the tour.
Both of the visited places are popular tourist attractions that are likely to be crowded. Our group stays always together to ensure that no one gets lost during the tour. Please note that this is a walking tour, so we recommend dressing accordingly.
