4 day tour in Champagne and Alsace with History and Wine Guide

Spend time with a guide and sommelier who has traveled to more than 60 countries and wants to share culture and experience while popping bottles in the evening on the terrace of restaurants.

You will visit wineries and castles almost every day, learning about history, architecture, oenology, and you will be taken to some of the best Michelin starred restaurants in France.

Itinerary

Day 1: CHAMPAGNE - Reims

Stop At: Reims, Reims, Marne, Grand Est
Day 1: Visit the Cathedral and city center of REIMS looking for Art Deco buildings. Lunch at Harold’s. Afternoon visits of 1 “big” Champagne house and 1 smaller Champagne house around Epernay. Discovery of Hautvillers and the Dom Perignon abbey church.

Stop At: Epernay, Epernay, Marne, Grand Est
Day 1: Visit the Cathedral and city center looking for Art Deco buildings. Lunch at Harold’s. Afternoon visits of 1 “big” Champagne house and 1 smaller Champagne house around Epernay. Discovery of Hautvillers and the Dom Perignon abbey church.

Day 2: ALSACE - Strasbourg

Stop At: Strasbourg, Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, Grand Est
Day 2: Visit the Strasbourg Cathedral and the city center (Place du Marché Gayot, Place Saint-Etienne, take Rue des Jews, stroll through the Orfèvres district (around Rue des Orfèvres) and admire along the way the Maison Kammerzell (the oldest in Strasbourg), go see the Palais Rohan , Place Broglie, Place Kléber and join the Grand Rue (one of the main streets of Strasbourg) before returning to Place Gutenberg, Rue des Tonneliers and Place des Tripiers and Place du Marché aux Cochons de Lait. Finally, don’t forget to cross the water to stroll along the Quai des Bateliers).
Afternoon in the Petite France district, and take in the views from the Barrage Vauban built in the 17th century.

Day 3: ALSACE - Small villages with wine tastings

Stop At: Chateau du Haut Koenigsbourg, D159 Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg, 67600 Orschwiller France
Admire the views from up high in this 12th century fortification, which belonged to many dukes and kings along the way!

Stop At: Ribeauville, Ribeauville, Haut-Rhin, Grand Est
Wander in the cutest Alsatian village for its half-timber houses and souvenir shops. Make a halt at any one of its shops for Alsace food, which includes
Spätzle (a sort of pasta)

Baeckeoffe (3 meats: lamb, beef, pork)
Munster cheese
Kougelhof dessert

This quaint city has lots of charm to offer, a smaller version of Strasbourg!

Small village walking tour for more Alsace beauty!
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ammerschwihr, Ammerschwihr, Haut-Rhin, Grand Est
Wine tasting of white Rieslings, Gewürztraminers, Sylvaners and Pinot Gris, as well as succulent red Pinot Noirs!
