The area in the southeast of Nuremberg, where the Nazi Party rallies were held from 1933 to 1938, was called the Reichsparteitagsgelände. The overall design for the layout of the grounds came from Albert Speer in the basic concept and in detail from Walter Brugmann, who also led the planning implementation.

As one of the sights of the city of Nuremberg, the Schöne Brunnen belongs to the Historic Mile of Nuremberg. Built in 1396, it stands on the edge of the main market next to the Nuremberg City Hall. The Schöne Brunnen is about 19 meters high and has the shape of a pinnacle decorated Gothic church spire.
