Machuca is best known as an almost obligatory step when visiting the
Geyser del Tatio from
San Pedro de Atacama .
However Machuca is one of the typical Andean towns that is worth visiting. The main attraction is the Church that is open from 09:00 am.
Machuca has about 25 houses and the population does not exceed 100 inhabitants and the main economic activity is the grazing of llamas and tourism.
