This tour is very special, a truly homestay experience on Uros with the perfect comfort for you. You will know better and understand the life of this special people called Uros, you will do differents cultural activites like cutting reeds, artisanal fishing, know much more about the process for constructing this Islands of these islands and much more. By the way, you'll be taking one of the most beautiful sunset on the world in a traditional boat.

Itinerary

Day 1: Uros Activities

Stop At: Uros Floating Islands, Lake Titicaca, Puno Peru
You'll start your day at Uros Island with an arrival scheduled for 10:30 AM. Upon arrival, the local community will greet you and you'll be shown to your room. This will be a great opportunity to take in the unique views of the lake. At 11:00 AM, you'll be part of an interactive session that delves into the history and construction of the Floating Islands. During this session, you'll engage in a hands-on workshop, contributing to the maintenance or construction of part of an island.
Lunch will be served at midday, featuring typical dishes from the region. After lunch, you'll have time to either rest or explore the island at your leisure. The afternoon activities begin at 3:00 PM with a reed cutting activity. Following that, at 4:30 PM, you'll witness a demonstration on the crafting of reed products.
The day concludes with a dinner at 7:00 PM immersing yourself in the local culture, including listening to stories and legends told by a Uros family.

You'll embark on a unique journey across Lake Titicaca aboard a traditional boat crafted from reeds

Day 2: Say Goodbye to Uros

Stop At: Uros Floating Islands, Lake Titicaca, Puno Peru
Your morning starts early at 7:00 AM with a net collection activity on Lake Titicaca. During this time, you'll get to observe the diverse range of native fish in the lake. It's a great opportunity to learn about the endemic species and understand their role in the lake's ecology.

After this, at 8:00 AM, you'll enjoy a breakfast that includes quinoa slices, various local jams, butter, and a selection of hot drinks.

Then, at 9:00 AM, you have the option to either return and be transferred back to your hotel in Puno, or you can choose to extend your trip to Taquile Island. If you decide to go to Taquile, remember that this needs to be arranged beforehand.
