On this tour, we invite you to join a local shepherd in a traditional stone-built shepherd shelter - locally known as mitato - for a cheese-making workshop. Located on a slope of Mount Psiloritis, the shepherd will share with us their passion for Cretan shepherding traditions and lifestyle. The shepherd will show us how to milk goats or sheep and we will prepare a type of Cretan cheese that is in season, taste several other types of cheese made locally, and experience other shepherding activities. There will also be time for a walk around the stunning nature close to the shelter. We wrap up the day with a big Cretan feast with local delicacies and wine.Stop At:
