We start the tour with a Welcome Lunch and then we walk in the jungle with our native guide.

TREKKING IN THE JUNGLE
Leaving the Lodge, your guide can lead you on half a dozen trails (of varying degrees of difficulty) that can last from half an hour to 4 hours winding through the thick and humid rainforest that connect to the river or lake, crossing muddy roads and always looking for the elusive fauna of the place. Don't forget your long socks for use with the rubber boots and sandals!

TUBING
The water is very refreshing after a hike in the jungle. In this fun activity on a buoy, your ability to row with your hands will be the key, looking at the sky and its banks full of trees, you will feel like part of a dream. You decide if you want to undertake this adventure alone or as a couple. This is one of the quietest ways to enjoy a river in the Amazon

Day 2: NAPO RIVER EXCURSION | ANIMAL REFUGE CENTER | INDIGENOUS FAMILY VISIT | ANACONDA ISLAND | CERAMICS & CRAFTSStop At: Rio Napo, Ecuador
After breakfast, our jungle day begins with a walk to the Napo River. Here we travel by motorized canoe. On this boat trip, you can appreciate the magic and beauty of the Amazon Rainforest by traveling along a river that zigzags through the jungle like a giant snake, considered the main system of the Pacha Mama (Mother Earth)

Stop At: Amazoonico Animal Rescue Centre, Middle Of the Protected Gsr Preserve, Tena 150150 Ecuador
First, we will visit to the Amazoonico, which is protecting a number of different animals, some in danger of extinction. Amazonico is not a zoo, but a rescue center for Amazon animals in Ecuador. We can observe some animals in their natural environment at close range

Stop At: Laguna del Caiman Negro, Reserva Biologica Limoncocha, Ahuano Ecuador
We continue by canoe to the ¨Anaconda Island¨ Here we can observe the prehistoric bird ¨Hoatzin¨, woolly monkeys, squirrel monkeys, justo to name a few. We also visit a family in one of the indigenous communities to learn about their cultivation habits, medicinal plants, as well as the ancestral way of hunting with blowguns and handmade traps in the rainforest

It’s almost hypnotic, watching the indigenous woman moulding clay from the riverbed into a dainty little bowl. In this encounter, a local will demonstrate how their community creates crockery from natural materials found in the forest, and the techniques used to seal and decorate them. There’s also an opportunity to purchase these lovely items for yourself.

Breakfast & Chocolate Tour
Chocolate does actually grow on trees. Well cacao, the bean that forms the basis of it, certainly does, and is plentiful here in the Ecuadorian Amazon, one of the first places in the world to cultivate the crop. On this activity you will learn to spot cacao pods and how they are taken down from trees, cut open and their little beans removed. From there, locals will show you the processes that turn that little piece of nature into a rich, bitter-sweet indulgence.

MONKEY´S RIVER BEACH: A popular tourist stop is the small town of Misahualli Ecuador. Located at the junction of the Misahuallí and Napo rivers this sleepy, end of the road town has beautiful jungle scenery and a large sandy beach.
The most popular inhabitants of Misahualli are the monkeys. They wander along the beach and into the park at the center of town

Tour Finish in Tena City
The Tena City is also very well suited to make the famous loop Quito - Amazon - Baños (or reverse). A huge advantage for travellers who want to continue southwards through Ecuador as you will not have to return to Quito.
