 In the City of the Saint it’s impossible to not pay omage to Sant’Antonio and its Basilic which welcomes tourists the whole year in particular on  the 13th of june , the day in which the Saint is celebrated. For this reason is one of the most representatives and important monuments and museums of the city.

Let’s enter the historical center : The Scrovegni Chapel, a real masterpiece which contains the frescoes by Giotto, then on to Piazza delle Erbe, which together with Piazza della Frutta, it’s always been the commercial heart of the city, in fact these 2 squares host the biggest market of Italy.

 In Piazza delle Erbe overlooks the famous Palazzo della Ragione, with its impressive size, it was used as city council's assembly hall and Palace of Justice. Today the palace maintains a central role within the public life of Padua because it’ s a place for exhibitions and cultural meetings . 

One of the symbols of the historical centre is  the oldest Italian University founded in the 1222 as a school of law and  the amazing Botanic gardens inside, one of the oldest gardens of its kind in the world (after the Hanging Gardens of Babylon) 

The tour could not end without  an inevitable stop will be the “Caffe Pedrocchi” , which is not just a bar, but it’s a real heritage of Padua City, one of the most famous Italian literary cafes of the nineteenth century witness of the Risorgimento, frequented by artists, Italian and European writers.
