The temple is located at the center of the hill capital and second largest city of Sri Lanka "Kandy". This is the house to relic of the tooth of the Buddha. A beautiful well preserved Buddhist temple with hundreds of paintings & carvings which are belong to Kandy era. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.
